It's already been about a month since my last update!
Time just flies during the holiday season. I can't believe we only have a few more days of 2013 remaining!
Over the past month, I've been keeping busy with tons of WORK! Andy left me for about 2 weeks earlier this month for training out in Texas so I had plenty to do to keep my busy while he was gone. I was a little nervous about him leaving me because we've NEVER been separated for that long but I survived! ;)
Other than work, I did enjoy one Christmas market in Sankt Wendel with the Remo family, which was fun but just not the same without Andy there to stop me from buying kitsch.
I also had fun at the Jaco's cocktail party which was the first party in a long time I've gone to without a date!

When Andy returned home from Texas on the 18th, he came home with something that brought back many good memories for us. Our very first vacation trip together was a trip out to San Francisco & Sonoma where we began to really appreciate the taste of good wine. Our absolute favorite vineyard was the Gundlach Bundschu Vineyard (pronounced: gun lock bun shoe). We even recommended it to our good friends, the Willis', who went out there for a trip after us and ended up becoming a club members. Every few months we get an email from the Willis' with a picture of their newest shipment of wine from Gundlach Bunschu and we just drooooool.
Anyway, Andy came home with a couple bottles he found at a store in Texas!!! We opened a bottle to celebrate his homecoming and it tasted just as amazing as the first time we had it in California. The BEST wine & vineyard EVER!!

Our Annual Christmas Party!!
Last year's holiday party at our house was such a success we decided to do it again!
It was so fun celebrating the holiday season with our friends here in Germany. Good times!

We have some of the sweetest friends! Our friends Carol & Daniel Song brought us a bottle of their homemade eggnog as a gift. Yummy!! Had to snap a photo of the pretty bottle. :)
Christmas Day
On Christmas Eve, one of my friends, Amy, came to visit me all the way from San Francisco with her friend, Daniel. It was such a spontaneous trip that Amy planned only about a month or so ago. She travels a lot so I always knew that she would come see me but I never imagined during Christmas! We were excited to have company over during the holidays.
Christmas morning we hiked up to Burg Nanstein and to our surprise, the cafe/restaurant up there was open! We sat down, had some drinks and food, while enjoying the view of Landstuhl from above. What a perfect morning.
In the evening, we went over to the Remo's house where we had a feast & roasted s'mores.
They only stayed for a few days to spend some quality time with us so we didn't get to do much but this was only the beginning of their european trip. I dropped them off at the airport today where they headed out to Vienna where they will spend a few days then head off to Prague, Paris, and London. Pretty awesome I think!

Not the best photo but can you tell what's hiding underneath all of those leaves?!
Those are chestnut shells!
There are a lot of them laying around the trails here and every time I see them it makes me think of my Grandma. I wouldn't even know what those fuzzy things were if it wasn't for her taking the grandkids out to go chestnut picking when we were little. Oh, I miss her.

Pajama night at the Remos!
Just had to share all the leather I received this Christmas!
Andy got me the exact camera bag that I've been wanting (so so sexy) and Amy surprised me with the best travel wallet - something that I've been searching for! Was I really good this year or what?! ;)

Well, that's all folks! I may or may not post before the new year. If I don't, I hope you all enjoy the last few days of 2013 and ring in the new year surrounded with lots of joy, love, and happiness. Tschuss!!!
