Happy New Year!!
Can't believe it's already 2015 and we're into our 3rd year in Germany! Although it wasn't really our choice to extend our time out here, it is nice to have the extra time to travel to locations we may not have had time for if we were leaving this upcoming summer. Andy & I really need to get organized this year to make sure we do everything we want before we head back to the states!
Baby Update:
Addie turned 3 months on January 2nd and it's hard to believe she'll be turning 4 months in less than 2 weeks from today! It makes me sad to look back at her photos from just a month or two ago. My little baby is growing way too fast! Now I understand why parents can't stop at baby #1.
Recently Addie started having severe cradle cap that came down from her scalp to her face. She's usually a pretty happy baby so when it's hard to get her to smile or laugh, I know something is bothering her. Her skin was so dry it would bleed spontaneously and the itchiness would interrupt her feeds & sleep. We tried ketoconazole cream & shampoo but it wasn't helping much so we decided to use a low dose of hydrocortisone cream. It's finally starting to clear up. Hope it all goes away soon because I know she's still itchy and her face is red. (You can see pictures of how bad it became below.)
This week Addie seems to be going through a sleep regression which is brutal. I was JUST starting to enjoy my sleep and she starts acting like a newborn again! I read that this is pretty normal around her age so I'm kind of glad we're planning our trip back to the states in a couple weeks if she keeps this up. Might as well be screwed up all at once!
Anyway.... before I move onto photos... I need to share some very important and exciting news!!! :) My 'little' cousin Patricia got ENGAGED earlier this week!!! EEEEKKKK!!!! For those at our wedding, she was my MOH. I'm so so sooooo ecstatic for her & her fiancé, Scott!!! Congratulations you two!! Can't wait to celebrate in a couple weeks. XO

Our 1st Family Trip to the Bavarian Alps!
For MLK weekend, we went on a 'ski' trip in Garmisch, Germany - a last minute trip made after finding out that our friends would be there too. It was the perfect opportunity to get some skiing in this season since I wasn't sure if I would be able to snowboard or not with Andy. We headed down on Friday and made a stop at Partnach Gorge for some pictures. Andy & I have been to Partnach Gorge with his parents in the summer time but it was beautiful to see in the winter with all the snow and ice. Checked into our hotel in the evening and I was able to find a last minute baby sitter for Addie so that I could go snowboarding for just a few hours on Saturday morning. We were staying at a military resort so I wasn't too concerned about the babysitter's background and if something went wrong, there was more than enough support around. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried and thinking about Addie the entire time I was out though! I really missed her and I literally ran back to her when I was done. I realized it wasn't worth it to me to leave her at this age just to go snowboarding. Now, next season might be another story when she's one!
