This year for memorial weekend, Andy and I planned a trip out to Pisa & Cinque Terre, Italy. Actually, for this trip we had almost nothing planned except for hotels & flight. It's just one of those places where it's less stressful to figure things out while you're there.
We landed into Pisa late Friday night so we decided to stay the night near the leaning tower of Pisa. Checked out the tower at night & the next morning before heading out for Cinque Terre. (For anyone planning a trip out there... there is literally NOTHING to see or do in Pisa except for seeing the tower.)

Saturday morning, we headed out to Cinque Terre by train. Very easy to do and took about less than an hour from Pisa to Riomaggiore - one of the 5 towns in Cinque Terre. We stayed in an apartment in Riomaggiore that was located right down the street from the train station and a short walk away from the centre. It was the perfect place for us. Highly recommend staying in this town for anyone planning to visit. It's the most convenient town to stay.
Over the weekend we were able to cover each of the 5 towns - Riomaggiore, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, & Manarola. Here are some photos from our walks.

Next trip: Costa Del Sol in June! :)
