It's been over a month since my last update so this one will be filled with plenty of photos!
What have we been up to?
Well, my mom was here for 2.5 weeks and left on Nov 21st. During her stay here we were able to travel to Florence (see previous post), Heidelberg, and our local town of Landstuhl. For the most part, we stayed inside playing with Addie. I realized after my mom left that it was actually the first time since I was 18 that we lived under the same roof together for more than a day or two. It was not only great for Addie to meet her Grandma, but I felt like I was getting to know my mom all over again.
Here's a pic from our visit to Heidelberg.

The Remos Visit Germany for Thanksgiving!
After my Mom left, the Remos surprised us with a last minute trip back to Germany for their Thanksgiving break! For those who don't know, the Remos moved to TX after their 4 year tour in Germany this past summer. They wanted to come back to Germany as soon as possible so that the boys wouldn't forget their German and their German school friends would remember them...but.. we like to think it was to meet Addie. Hah! It was awesome seeing them again - nothing has changed!
For the past 2 years, I've watched runners run the Landstuhl Christmas market 4.7 mile run. I've always thought about doing it be never did. This year, I decided that it would be a great way for me to jump start working out again. (Why did I think that was such a good idea when I had yet to go running at all @ 8 weeks postpartum? I don't know. Apparently I like to put myself through pain.) Thankfully I had Sharon Frattalone who agreed to run with me - I was a little intimidated since Sharon was a cross country runner at Penn State but she was awesome and paced me through the entire run. I will say, I was probably in the worst shape I've ever been in during a race but I was darn proud of myself for not walking & finishing!! :) Thanks again Sharon!
Addison's 2 month Wellness Visit & Shots!!
December 2, 2014
The day Andy & I were dreading. Addie finally turned 2 months & on this exact day, she received her 2 month shots. Andy was the brave one and helped hold Addie down while I stood by and held her afterwards. She wailed so hard!! Poor baby was pretty unhappy all day with a swollen left leg.
Oh I have to mention this little girl is growing like a monster!! She went from being in the 35th percentile for weight to the 90th in just a month!! She is still in the 75th for height and 35th for head circumference. :)

Addison's 1st Birthday Party Attendance
One of the great things about photography is meeting awesome clients who end up becoming friends. Over the past year, I've become friends with the Dvonch family & watched their little family grow from 2 to 3. Their little boy, Adrian, turned 1 recently and had his 1st birthday party in Germany. It was Addie's first birthday party and as usual, she pulled herself together and did really well.
Our 1st Holiday Ball
People who don't work in the hospital are quite shocked when they hear that we attended our first military ball this year. Except for LRMC, I don't think hospitals typically hold holiday balls so we've never had the opportunity to go to one. Since Andy is currently assigned to a unit outside of the hospital, we had the chance to go to one this year and it was a great way for us to have our first 'date night' since Addie's birth. It was nice getting to dress up for the first time in Germany & I finally got to meet some of the people Andy works with. Overall, it was a fun night! We had one of our very good friends, Amy Clarkson, come over and watch Addie for the evening & as nervous as I was to leave Addie, it was easier knowing she was in good hands.
Addison's 1st Christmas Church Service
Not much to say here except that church music makes her sleepy...
Daniel Song Returns to Germany From Deployment
We've become good friends with the Songs over the past year here in Germany. They arrived over a year ago from Hawaii and were introduced to us via email through our old friends, the Kroski's. Unfortunately, this past summer, Daniel had to deploy and left us for 160 days. Carol went back to New York where she had family, friends, and work during his deployment so when Daniel came home, it was a bit of a homecoming for the both of them. Andy & I were lucky enough to welcome Daniel home at the Ramstein Air Base Terminal with Carol the Monday before Christmas. These two are just too cute!
Addison's First Christmas!!
It was SO exciting for me to wake up Christmas morning with Addie. I was more excited to open all of her presents than my own! (I guess this is what happens when you become a mom?!) She received so many great gifts from family and friends. (Sorry there aren't any pictures to show. Andy accidentally deleted ALL of our Christmas photos from his camera - the fun ones of us opening gifts!) So all I have to show are the few that I caught with my camera. :(
We ended our first Christmas with Addie with dinner with the Songs. It was fun having them over and catching up. Missed you guys!
